In the spanish sentance "Yo le pido prestado a mi mejor amiga." Why are two conjugated verbs allowed?

Normally a verb in the infinitive follows a conjugated verb. What is is about the past participle prestado in this sentence that allows it to follow the verb pido? Thanks for you help.
