Do you believe that Robespierre's "Reign of Terror" was justified?

I do not believe it was justified. Just a few years after the terror, which killed many innocents, Citizen Napoleon made himself Emperor (a very unegalitarian thing) and plunged his nation into an ultimately unsuccessful string of wars. Misery, death and betrayal are all that came from the terror, and after the Empire there was a return to the monarchy, a brief democracy, and another extended return to empire.
