I had abuse to me (ault) abut 3 yrs ago..Never reported--do I have any rights still?

My best friend aulted me (we were next door neighbors), I was in shock, and ashamed to say--I did not call police. Shortly after, I married and moved...I still own my condo, where the incident happened..she still owns hers as well,,but has also since married and moved away. We both have been renting them out...I however, have decided to stay in mine part time now, and am worried about running into her..cause she comes by time to time...I never filed a report--I was an idiot--but in shock..shock thay lasted over a yr.--I have pictures (from my friend)--I had my head bashed repeatedly into my granite floor----was choked etc.. I did go to emergency room next day and have report from that...do I have any rights re: restraining order after ALL this time??
