Is my new best friend gay?

ok iv known this guy for 4 years and for 3 he Was just a guy i went to school with but this year we really became friends and over the past few months we have really gotten close... almost inseparable, and i kind of get the feeling he is gay, over the entire 4 yrs i have known him he has had one girlfriend that he dated for more than a week, there are alot of people that think he is gay and one of my other friends actualy asked him in a private are and he told her yes, but when she asked him again in a crowded social area with his other friends around he told her no. He has really been acting gay twords me recently (in my opinion), every time im at his house he takes him shirt off and almost always points something out to me on his body, i stay overnight at his house alot and its usualy jus a spur of the moment thing so i nvr have clothes to wear the next day, i asked him if i could borrow some of his clothes one day and he literaly gave me everything, straight down to boxers... idk if its just me or is wearing your friends boxers a little weird, i told him i need to start keeping spare clothes in my car in case i deside to crash at a friends house, and he tells me just to leave some of my clothes at his house, idk if he thinks i only stay at his house or if he just wants me to stay there more, and he cant seem to leave his house w/o me unless he is comeing to my house, i get a call almost everyday from him saying "he wana go with me?" it may just be all in my head but idk, sum1 help me figure dis out, (idk if he is gay cuz he will still b my friend but i dont wana directly ask him if he is gay because alot of people have lately and it seems like its starting to upset him so i dont wana add to that)
