What can I expect during hysterectomy recovery?
If you don't plan on having anymore or any kids, then you have made the right decision. My mother was 39 when she had her uterus removed due to fibroids. The recovery depends on what type of surgery you get. If they have to do the small incision then you will recover fast. However my mother had to have her bladder lifted as well because the fibroid was pushing up against it, pushing it down. So she had a full surgery done. She felt better after about a month. During the recovery she had a little trouble getting in and out of bed and experience a littel pain every so often but nothing drastic. But now months later she is like a brand new person. So much energy, always on the go. And let me tell you her life is great, a little too great..LOL. But you will be much better, trust me healthwise and wise...LOL.
